The Property Catalog
The Property Catalog (HOME > Settings) serves a number of functions, from allowing you to create and maintain property templates to controlling how properties are imported and displayed in your solution. On the Property Catalog form, you will find four tabs. Each tab allows you to administer a different function controlled by the Property Catalog: Property Types (the property templates), Definitions (the property definitions), Recognition (recognized property aliases) and Preference (how properties are displayed).
The bottom of the Property Catalog form includes three settings that are available regardless of which tab is active. The settings are as follows:
Default MD step for logs This value controls the sampling interval for all logs created in the solution.
Reset to factory default catalog Restores all catalog settings to the original values.
Save as default catalog Saves all catalog settings as the default; when new solutions are created the saved catalog will be used instead of the factory catalog.
